Who are you and what do you do?
I’m a Polish-British entrepreneur, author, and leading expert in international marketing with over 15 years of experience. Based in London and originally from Warsaw, I hold a master’s degree in Management from the University of Warsaw as well as a degree in Marketing, Communication and Globalisation from Syddansk Universitet in Odense, Denmark. I’m also a social activist, mentor at the London Centre for Entrepreneurs and Intercell Network, member of the European Business Women's Club i Women's Business Link (WBL) .
As a founder of Kamreno Global Marketing Agency, I help businesses to grow their brand and support global brands including the Discovery Channel, Pirelli, KPMG , Nokia IBM. Kamreno is focused on helping clients with a thorough ‘Deep-Dive’ into the client’s brand and creating an out-of-the-box approach, combined with expertise and price transparency. Clients get access to forty marketing specialists for the price of one marketing director.
I am passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and animals and in my spare time, I publish educational books for children and dog lovers as part of the “Hector & Friends” project. I’m on a mission to help children with out-of-school activities. I also host various workshops on topics such as empathy development, creative writing and multiculturalism under the auspices of Westminster Children's University.
What are you good at?
It’s a very tricky question 😊 On a professional level, I help managers, their teams and companies achieve their business goals, and I’m highly valued for my creativity, out-of-the-box approach and ability to manage in a crisis. On a personal level, my friends call me a volcano of energy with a big heart. I’m good at organizing everything, dealing with crises, helping people and just making things right. As an empathic person I read between the lines, find real sources of problems and solutions. It melted my heart when last year I received the University of Warsaw Entrepreneur of the Year award in the Social Entrepreneur category as well as being a finalist in the BOLD Awards III competition in the Crowdfunding Projects 2022 category in Venice
What people do not know about you?
In my spare time, I’m passionate about technology and enjoy spending active time trekking. I love sport and being constantly on the move. Travelling has been my passion since childhood and when possible, I try to develop myself spiritually by practising yoga and meditation. My motto in life is Carpe diem!
What do you wish you'd known before starting your business?
As the founder of the company and a perfectionist in both my private and professional life, I have learned to balance and not over-work projects. Everything can always be improved but there is a moment when the project has to be finalised instead of becoming a never-ending story. Another challenge for me, especially during the Pandemic, was to try not to do everything myself. The more I delegate, the more I can develop the company and look for new opportunities.
What inspired you to start your business?
Since I was a child, I believed that I could change the world for the better and create an impact.
As an only child, I was a dreamer and often felt lonely and misunderstood by other children, but I was great at creating my own imaginative worlds and having fun alone. I loved building my own toys and wacky constructions from places in my imagination.
On the other hand, I was inspired by many adults and enjoyed their company. One of the most important person in my life was my dear grandmother. For me, she was like a second mother and my biggest motivation. She was the kind of grandma with a big heart and a great deal of wisdom. She always believed in me and my ideas and encouraged me to think differently. I distinctly remember telling her that one day I would have my own company and will create things that people will buy.
I am very happy that so many years later, my achievements would make her proud.
