This month’s networking provided some invaluable nuggets of wisdom about finances.
Last year’s mini-budget and its consequences seriously shook people’s confidence in the government but also reminded us all how volatile financial markets can be. Consequently, many of us were left confused about what to do with money. Save? Spend? Invest? Would it get better now, or would it get worse before it gets better?
Not surprising then that the event that featured two financial specialists generated quite an interest.
Beata Kurczek from Smart Choice Financial Services explained what happened in the mortgage market, mentioned new mortgage products and explained how, for some people, 2023 could be a good year to make investments in the property market.
Agnieszka Zieba explained how the changes in capital gains taxation can impact the number and prices of properties available for sale. She also gave tips for easy budgeting and advised how women can save daily easily and painlessly.
Both speakers provided explained financial information in accessible terms and inspired us all to do more about our finances for our benefit and those we love and care about.
The presentations were supplemented by an interesting presentation from Yvonne Wissart Director of Sales of nhow Hotel, who showed us around this beautiful luxury lifestyle hotel in Shoreditch. We were impressed by how the interior design incorporates Britain's contemporary essence. It is the hotel that should be visited by tourists and definitely known by Londoners!
We took the opportunity to take many beautiful pictures in many Instagramable places of the hotel, but we loved the fireplace section of the hotel with its comfortable sofas and amazing Queen’s Guards’ uniform-inspired armchairs. An unforgettable evening on many levels!
